Villanova to provide our students with a comprehensive set of advisement
and program resources in their pursuit of academic excellence.

UNDERGRADUATE GRANTS AND AWARDS

Education: Master's degree required; Ph.D. preferred.

Qualifications: Strong writing and interpersonal skills, knowledge of,
and professional experience working with, application processes and
program requirements of prestigious national scholarships/fellowships
(Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, Truman, Goldwater, Ford, Javits, NSF,
Mellon, etc.); administrative experience at the university level;
computer and database skills; grant writing experience; ability to work
well independently; experience/knowledge of academic programs; and
research skills in various academic disciplines.

Responsibilities:

1) Administer the University Presidential Scholarship Program; develop
and administer a comprehensive system of advisement regarding
opportunities for research, internships, and other activities that will
enrich the undergraduate education experience of our Presidential
Scholars and enhance their credentials for the prestigious national
scholarship/fellowship programs.

2) Administer the Connelly-Delouvrier International Scholars Program,
and our projected Undergraduate Collaborative Research Program; develop
proposals for, and administer, additional undergraduate grants and
awards in collaboration with academic programs and departments, the
Office of Research and Sponsored Projects, and the Office of
Institutional Advancement.

3) Administer the Prestigious National Fellowships Program; develop and
administer programs to identify as early as possible strong potential
candidates, to recruit candidates as effectively as possible, and to
provide a comprehensive system of advisement to assist them in
developing the strongest credentials possible for their candidacy.

The Administrator of Undergraduate Grants and Awards reports to the
Director, University Honors Program; serves as liaison to the Office of
the Dean in each of our undergraduate colleges, the Office of Research
and Sponsored Projects, and the Office of Institutional Advancement; and
serves as Facilitator of the Faculty Undergraduate Research Council.
